SKaGeN plays The Run
Clara van den Broek | Paul Verrept
In The Run, a man departs from a harmonious, seemingly perfect life. What drives him is unclear. Has something changed in the woman he was living with? Has he himself changed? What was the impact of the drama that took place on the beach near their home? He has a series of meetings in an old-fashioned hotel in an almost deserted village. Gradually the realisation grows that the world around him is no longer the same. Does he find in it the seeds of a new beginning?
The Run is a sequel to The Flood. The Flood, on tour since 2017 in Flanders and France, tells the story of the woman. In The Run, the man speaks. Clara van den Broek plays the two texts by Paul Verrept. Together, they sketch a painful and gossamer portrait of a relationship battered by current events.
Premiere series The Run on 16, 17 & 18 November 2021 at 20h in De Studio, Maarschalk Gérardstraat 4, 2000 Antwerp.
