Richard Jordan Productions is an Olivier and TONY Award-winning production company based in London under the artistic leadership of producer Richard Jordan. Founded in 1998, his company has produced over 215 productions in the UK and 27 other countries, including 80 world premieres and 92 European, Australian or US premieres enjoying associations with many of the world’s leading theatres, and arts organisations. Described by The Stage newspaper as “one of the UK’s most prolific theatre producers”, Richard has been at the forefront of developing and presenting works by a diverse range of established and emerging writers and artists. THEATRE ROYAL PLYMOUTH (Producer)
The Theatre Royal Plymouth has supported Bigmouth in Belgium at the Edinburgh festival since 2015. We specialise in the production of new plays alongside the presentation of a broad range of theatre – including classic and contemporary drama, musicals, opera, ballet and dance. We have three performance spaces – The Lyric (1300 seat proscenium arch), The Drum (175 capacity flexible studio) and The Lab (50 capacity development studio). Our work with young people and communities is extensive and radical, taking place across all our venues and beyond.
Recent Theatre Royal Plymouth productions include 49 Donkeys Hanged by Carl Grose, Clockwork Canaries by Christopher William Hill, The Here And This And Now by Glenn Waldron, The War Has Not Yet Started by Mikhail Durnenkov, Monster Raving Loony by James Graham, The Man With The Hammer by Phil Porter, The Whipping Man by Matthew Lopez, After Electra by April de Angelis, Grand Guignol and Horse Piss For Blood by Carl Grose, Another Place by DC Moore, The Astronaut’s Chair by Rona Munro, and MAD MAN by Chris Goode. We have co-produced many plays with our long-standing partners Ontroerend Goed and Richard Jordan Productions (£¥€$, Audience, A History of Everything, Sirens, Fight Night), Graeae (The Solid Life of Sugar Water by Jack Thorne) and in recent years have collaborated with Hoipolloi (The Duke, Me & Robin Hood).
Elsewhere we have regularly co-produced with Paines Plough (The Angry Brigade by James Graham, Love, Love, Love by Mike Bartlett), Frantic Assembly (including Othello, The Believers by Bryony Lavery, Lovesong by Abi Morgan) and Told by an Idiot (Napoleon Disrobed, Heads Will Roll, My Perfect Mind, And The Horse You Rode In On). The Wrong Crowd are our first resident company at the theatre.
